Job Summary
Manage strategic fleet accounts for Class 5-8 vehicles by scheduling service appointments, diagnosing vehicle problems, and coordinating repairs with the service department. Conduct fleet need evaluations, provide cost/benefit analyses, and sell PM services, DOT inspections, alignments, and tire programs to reduce customer downtime. Make cold calls to increase market share, maintain relationships with regional managers, and ensure compliance at assigned locations. Manage data collection activities including tire surveys and mileage analysis. Requires valid driver's license, CDL preferred, and 3-5 years of heavy truck experience. Occasional overnight travel required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- ability to maintain driving record to Pomp's standards
- Ability to safely operate vehicles equipped with manual and automatic transmission
- 3 – 5 Years of Heavy Truck or Fleet mechanical experience
- Working knowledge of: Alignments, Suspension, Steering, Brakes, Slack Adjusters, Airbags, Electrical, Batteries, Air Lines, Trailer Readiness, State/Federal Inspections and maintenance programs
- Proficiency in maintenance programs and diagnostic systems
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Proficiency with MaddenCo and BASys for sales and manufacturing reports, or willingness to learn
- Ability to regularly lift, push, or move 25 pounds
- occasionally lift, push, or move 75 pounds
- Ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Occasional overnight travel
