Job Summary
The Fleet Liaison supports the Fleet Administration team within the Agency’s Asset Management unit by assisting daily operations and a broad set of fleet-management functions. Responsibilities include tracking vehicle utilization, maintenance, registrations, and EZ Pass/WEX/Zipcar administration; coordinating with the Department of Finance and IAD; preparing fleet purchase requests and fleet budgets; reviewing accident/incident reports and mileage logs; coordinating DOT permits; monitoring fleet expenses; and, when needed, performing field work such as visiting accident sites. The role may involve operating a motor vehicle and occasional late evenings or weekends, and up to 2 remote days per week under the Remote Work Pilot Program. A valid NY driver license is required for appointment and must be maintained throughout employment; the position may require driving the Commissioner to appointments.
Required Qualifications
- A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and four years of satisfactory full-time experience in one or more of the fields of criminal justice administration and planning, forensic science, human resources, labor relations, auditing, building inspection, or legal affairs; or
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college; or
- Education and/or experience equivalent to “1” or “2” above.
