Job Summary
Lead and coordinate daily work assignments for mechanics, hire/train/develop the team to meet operational demands, and manage maintenance operations for heavy equipment including engines, electrical, drive train, hydraulics, and preventive maintenance programs. Responsible for evaluating equipment conditions, performing basic and major repairs on loaders, dump trucks, and sweepers, generating and managing work orders in the asset management system, ensuring safety and compliance, and providing regular reports on repair activities and status. Must be able to travel as needed and operate in non-climate-controlled environments; strong customer service and communication skills required.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic and/or Lead Mechanic
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass airport badge screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Experience using diesel diagnostic software for troubleshooting heavy equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
