Job Summary
Lead and coordinate daily work assignments for mechanics, hire/train/develop staff, and ensure maintenance operations for heavy equipment (loaders, dump trucks, sweepers) are completed safely and efficiently. Responsible for evaluating equipment, identifying repairs, performing basic and major repairs, managing and prioritizing work orders, developing and improving preventive maintenance programs, and providing ongoing reporting. Requires ability to travel as needed, pass airport badge screening, and lift up to 50 pounds; proficient with diesel diagnostic software and MS Office; strong communication and customer-service skills.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic and/or Lead Mechanic
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass airport badge screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Experience using diesel diagnostic software for troubleshooting heavy equipment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
