Job Summary
Fleet Labourer - Summer Student at West Coast Reduction Ltd. based at the Calgary Plant. Assists Redux Program team with high-level customer service to used cooking oil and grease trap customers; cleans equipment including cooking oil bins, containers and vehicles; replaces lids and decals; assists in site-cleaning to company standards; picks up retired containers and delivers new Redux containers; follows up with customers on container placement; assists in spill cleanup; refills products for fleet items; maintains equipment and spill response kits; keeps yards and wash bays organized; provides emergency coverage on driving routes as directed; may operate forklifts and other hoisting devices; performs shift work as needed. Ideal candidate has a valid class 5 driver’s licence with a clean driving record, strong English communication, customer-service orientation, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and adaptability to adverse conditions. This is a fixed-term summer contract with hourly pay.
Required Qualifications
- Valid class 5 drivers’ licence with a clean abstract
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to frequently move, carry, lift, push and pull equipment up to 50 lbs
- Experience in a production environment or similar industry is an asset
- Ability to perform shift work as per business needs
- Willingness to operate forklifts and other hoisting devices when necessary
