Job Summary
Clean and detail the interior and exterior of all transit vehicles, including waxing, polishing, and refurbishing. Wash the exterior, sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust interiors while removing trash. Inspect vehicles for damage such as broken windows or door jams, and report any issues to the program supervisor. Maintain the wash bay area, service tools, and inventory of cleaning materials. Fuel transit fleet vehicles and coordinate parts and equipment delivery to support mechanics. Ensure shop and safety compliance while working under close supervision with minimal latitude for independent judgment. Requires a valid Texas Driver's License and ability to communicate in English and Spanish.
Required Qualifications
- Valid/Current Texas Driver's License
- Commercial Driver's License
- Ability to repeatedly step up/down, stoop, bend, reach up/down and work with cleaning chemicals
- The ability to communicate in English and Spanish
- Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent

- Skill in the use of office equipment, computers
- Ability to respond to public inquiries in a timely manner and to communicate effectively
- Experience and education may be substituted for one another
