Job Summary
The Fleet Field Mechanic is responsible for safely using hand and power tools, following verbal and written instructions, and performing quality work as per project specifications. The role requires accountability for tools and materials at the end of shifts and involves collaboration with team members while also being able to work independently. The candidate must have the ability to make repairs to complex systems and utilize diagnostic equipment. This entry-level position includes competitive pay, benefits, and potential overtime opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to utilize various electronic diagnostic equipment
- Ability to make minor and major repairs to electrical, hydraulic, air conditioning, gasoline and diesel systems
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Highly motivated and customer service driven
Desired Qualifications
- A two-year technical, vocational or trade school diploma or degree in auto, truck, and/or heavy equipment
- Fluid Power Society and/or ASE certifications
