Job Summary
Lead the implementation of the fleet strategy, business plan, and initiatives to ensure statutory compliance and support long-term growth. Manage teams directly while overseeing fleet replacement, maintenance, and contract management for trucks, commercial cars, forklifts, and pallet jacks. Drive business planning and operational support to build fundamental process, system, and people capabilities. Requires a B Comm. degree in Logistics, 10-15 years of experience, and 5 years in management. This senior role reports into Regional Fleet Managers and prioritizes internal fleet management over outsourced solutions.
Required Qualifications
- B Comm. Degree or equivalent recognised qualification in Logistics / Fleet
- 10 - 15 years Logistics experience
- 5 years management experience
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of FMCG logistics and fleet systems and processes
- Sound understanding of Road Transport and related legislation and NOSA
- Strong Technical background manage fleet directly trucks, commercial cars, forklifts, pallets jacks etc
- Not interested in candidates that managed outsourced fleet companies
Desired Qualifications
- Diesel Mechanic experience / qualification will be an advantage
