Fleet Engineer - Oxford Depot

Stagecoach West is seeking an experienced Fleet Engineer / Engineering Manager to lead a skilled team at the Oxford depot. You’ll lead engineers, technicians, cleaners, and apprentices to keep the fleet safe, clean, and road-ready, and manage the maintenance and presentation of 95 local/rural service buses and 32 Oxford Tube express coaches. You’ll oversee depot plant and building maintenance, compliance and health & safety, and manage day-to-day operations including resource planning, stock control, and procurement. You’ll coach and develop team members, drive continuous improvement and talent planning, and work with the Chief Fleet Engineer on regional projects. The role includes ensuring DVSA-aligned standards, safety, and vehicle performance, with a focus on depot operations and future fleet evolution (including electric vehicles and depot infrastructure).
