Job Summary
Fleet Controller focused on coordinating, monitoring, and optimizing movement and performance of service and light vehicles on the Mogalakwena site. Responsible for real-time instructions to operators, fleet status visibility, downtime reporting, and ensuring safety and compliance with mine procedures. Requires hands-on experience in open pit mining operations and fleet management, strong communication via radio/digital dispatch, and the ability to prioritize efficiency and safety while meeting production targets. Key duties include monitoring vehicle movement, onboarding vehicles, arranging site readiness, reporting downtime and bottlenecks, coordinating maintenance without production disruption, and supporting shift handovers with accurate data and root-cause analysis for delays.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- A valid driver's license
- Minimum 1–2 years' experience in open pit mining operations
- Minimum 1–2 years' experience in fleet management
- Computer literacy and proficiency with mining fleet management systems
- A solid understanding of open pit mining operations and equipment cycles
