Fleet and Tooling Manager

Job Summary
Oversee the operation, maintenance, and performance of all vehicles and equipment, implementing preventive schedules to reduce downtime. Track fleet metrics including fuel consumption and maintenance costs, while negotiating vendor contracts and managing supplier agreements. Develop and monitor the fleet budget, ensuring cost-saving measures are implemented and resources are allocated efficiently. Ensure all driver files are current and that vehicles adhere to safety and environmental regulations, maintaining accurate documentation for audits. Manage the tool-tracking system, coordinate equipment procurement, and generate regular reports on performance and budget status.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in fleet and equipment management, preferably in the construction industry
- Strong understanding of vehicle and equipment maintenance practices
- Proficient in fleet management software (Tenna preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- CDL Class A driver's license preferred
- Ability to occasionally lift more than 50 lbs
- Ability to work overtime
- Ability to travel to remote job sites which may require occasional overnight stays
