Job Summary
Fleet and Maintenance Technician based in Hays, KS responsible for routine maintenance and repairs of facilities and fleet vehicles, assisting with remodeling and facility improvement projects, supporting preventative maintenance, conducting inspections, groundskeeping and custodial tasks, coordinating deliveries and relocations, assisting with event and room setups, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment while collaborating with contractors and staff. Requires hands-on mechanical aptitude, ability to operate hand/power tools, physical stamina for indoor/outdoor work, basic computer skills, and a valid driver’s license. Pay $20/hour with a $500 sign-on bonus; full-time, in-person schedule Monday–Friday 8am–5pm, benefits package included.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in maintenance, construction, facilities, automotive, or custodial work preferred
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repair
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
- Ability to perform physical labor and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Basic computer and technology skills
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license with no substance-related incidents in the past 5 years; must be reasonably insurable
- Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently and as part of a team
