Fleet and Bus Service Manager

Job Summary
Coordinate the reception, inspection, and acceptance of vehicles, managing their return and decommissioning post-tournament. Act as the primary liaison between Transport FA and FIFA27 departments for all bus and minibus planning, while serving as the operational interface with suppliers to ensure alignment on KPIs and service delivery. Develop the fleet operational plan and depot concept of operations, overseeing daily timetables, dispatching procedures, and real-time coordination across all Host Cities. Manage ancillary contracts for cleaning, refueling, and tolls, while ensuring proper training for drivers and staff across Brazil. Provide regular reporting to senior management and stakeholders on coordination progress and issues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Transport/Logistics/Engineering/Project management/Event Management or a combination of education and experience relating to position
- Master's Degree
- Strong transport and fleet or bus services experience in international major events in at least two (2) world-class sport/football events
- Experience should include solid experience in multiple aspects of event transport operations and project management
- Strong management experience in a similar role within an organising committee leading large teams to deliver a time critical project
- Proven experience of successfully managing and delivering transport projects of a similar size and scale
- Proven experience of managing fleet services and operations projects of a similar size and scale
- Experience working with public and private sector partners in a collaborative environment and ability to build strong partnerships
- Advanced knowledge of administration and management principles
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data validation, pivot tables, advanced formulas, and large database management
- Advanced communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, the ability to influence others and manage relationships
- Ability to design, implement and operate a transport system in the Brazilian event environment
- Advanced knowledge of transportation technical operating processes and activities
- Ability to motivate others toward a common goal and manage a multidisciplinary team through conflicting priorities and continuous change requests
- Ability to work and communicate in a corporate and project focused organisation
- Proven project management skills within a complex project
- Strong analytical and organisation skills
- Proven solution orientated decision-making skills
- Ability to work under pressure to immoveable deadlines
- Right to work in Brazil
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Fluent in Portuguese (spoken and written)
- Ability to re-locate to Rio de Janeiro
