Job Summary
Develop and maintain indicative predictive operating cost (POC) models for new and existing Sandvik equipment fleets within the USA region. Collaborate with Aftermarket Contracts, Lifecycle Support Services, and Sales teams to create comprehensive maintenance strategy plans, service schedules, and component lifecycle forecasts. Establish critical spares lists, review maintenance costs for efficiency, and validate fleet reporting integrity to support continuous improvement of asset data accuracy. Assist in preparing equipment tenders, manage small projects, and facilitate feedback from active contracts to drive model accuracy. Provide sales and planning support by generating operating cost summaries, revenue predictions, and custom Power BI dashboards for parts availability and supply metrics. This hybrid role requires three days in the office and involves developing predictive models that underpin regional maintenance strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or relevant trade qualification or a tertiary qualification in Engineering, Direct Mining based Mechanical Trade, Project Management or Asset Management
- 5+ years experience in Estimation or Project Management
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance planning and management systems (CMMS)
- Data Analysis and reporting skills – Intermediate to Advanced
- High level understanding of risk and risk management
- Software skills: Advanced MS Excel
- Advanced Power BI
- Superior standard of interpersonal skills and leadership qualities
- Knowledge of and experience with Sandvik, or competitor products including surface and underground drills, loaders and haul trucks
- Must have the legal right to work in the United States on an indefinite basis without employer sponsorship
Desired Qualifications
- MS Office Suite
- Experience with failure analysis methodologies
- 5 years experience in estimation or project management
- Experience developing, maintaining, and improving lifecycle cost models, maintenance strategy plans, component forecasts, or parts consumption forecasts for mining equipment
- Strong understanding of Sandvik or similar mining equipment, including surface drills, underground drills, loaders, haul trucks, and related parts and service requirements
- Advanced data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development capability, including Power BI, Excel, fleet analytics, and other tools used to support parts availability, fleet visibility, and supply metrics
- Experience supporting tender submissions, asset agreement development, sales cases, cost estimates, revenue summaries, and customer-facing planning information
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Aftermarket Contracts, Lifecycle Support Services, Service Contracts, Sales Area teams, Product Specialists, Technical Support, Parts Support, and Operational Readiness stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to validate fleet reporting integrity, identify discrepancies, work with process owners, and support continuous improvement of fleet data quality and lifecycle model accuracy
- Experience facilitating or participating in regional or global initiatives, change management activities, small projects, and process improvement efforts related to asset, component, or lifecycle management
- Strong communication, presentation, training, and stakeholder support skills, with the ability to translate technical fleet and cost information into clear business insights
