Job Summary
Transport concrete blocks between plants in Ontario, Pennsylvania, and the Midwest, ensuring proper securement and load stability before each departure. Perform daily load inspections, complete all transportation documentation, and strictly follow health and safety procedures while wearing required personal protective equipment. Safely handle heavy loads and contribute to meeting delivery deadlines across East Coast USA and Ontario routes. This physically demanding role requires an average of 60 hours per week in a sleeper cab, with a valid Class 1 license and 3 years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 driver's license
- Minimum of 3 years of experience or CFTR certification
- Excellent driving record with no more than 5 demerit points
- Valid passport
- Functional English — ability to read and interpret documents and instructions, and to hold a functional conversation with a customs officer if needed
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (23kg)
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment at all times (helmet, safety vest, boots, etc.)
