Job Summary
Drive tractor-trailer (Flatbed) to deliver Precast Concrete to job sites in a safe and efficient manner; comply with DOT/TH&E safety regulations; perform pre/post trip inspections; secure loads with chains, binders, and straps; complete trip paperwork and maintain vehicle readiness; communicate with dispatcher regarding load assignments and load securement; ensure use of PPE and safe handling of materials.
Required Qualifications
- Commercial Driver's License Class A
- Acceptable driving record (no prior dui/Dwi), no crash with fatality, no historical pattern of speeding
- Ability to pass company/DOT physical
- Ability to pass company/DOT drug and alcohol test
- Ability to work in various types of weather
- Ability to respond with remaining hours of service to the local dispatcher’s preliminary order for the next days’ scheduled deliveries
- Ability to work all available hours of service per Federal Regulations
- 25 years of age, or 23 years of age with 2 years' experience hauling similar concrete products
- Ability to lift/carry grade 70 5/16” chains that are 25’ long
- Ability to lift/carry and use ratchet binders
- Ability to lift/carry and use 2” or 3” straps
- Ability to push/pull or drag chains, binders or straps overloads up to 13’6” in height
- Ability to lift/carry/push/pull/drag tarp and secure it properly
- Ability to climb ladder/tractor/trailer/load up to 13’6” in height to secure load
