Job Summary
Flatbed CDL Driver on a regional route for System Transport. Responsibilities include operating flatbed tractor-trailer to transport glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals across the western region and on regional/OTR routes. Compensation includes weekly pay, annual pay, and various accessorial pays (tarp pay, stop/pay detention pay, border crossing pay, safety bonuses, and tarping requirements). Home time is off most weekends for a 34-hour reset. Orientation and transition pay are provided. Requirements include a valid CDL-A, 21+ years old, 4+ months driving experience, safe driving record, background check, drug test, Clearinghouse check, and ability to lift 90 pounds for tarping. Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid Class A CDL
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- 4+ months of driving experience required
- A safe driving record on the road
- No more than 6 jobs in the last 3 years
- Background Check is required
- A Clean Drug Test is required
- A Clean Clearinghouse result is required
- For all flatbed driver opportunities, the driver must be physically able to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice
- System Transport will test this during orientation
- Flatbed tarp pay on a high percentage of loads
