Job Summary
CDL-A flatbed driver needed for regional routes with System Transport. Responsibilities include operating flatbed equipment to haul glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals across the western US, maintaining safety and compliance, and leveraging pay components such as tarp, stop, detention, and transition/orientation pay. Home time is off most weekends with a 34-hour reset; benefits include health/dental/vision, 401(k), PTO, and EAP. The role requires a valid CDL-A, 21+ years old, 4+ months of driving experience, and completion of background checks, drug tests, and Clearinghouse checks. A tarp-handling requirement (90 pounds onto a 5-foot platform) is tested during orientation. System Transport emphasizes safety and equal opportunity.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- 21 years of age or older
- 4+ months of driving experience
- Safe driving record
- No more than 6 jobs in the last 3 years
- Background Check required
- Clean Drug Test required
- Clean Clearinghouse result required
- Physically able to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice (to be demonstrated during orientation)
