Job Summary
CDL-A flatbed truck driver needed for regional routes (Division 290, Kansas City, MO). Home time off most weekends for a 34-hour reset. Competitive pay including weekly and annual pay figures, plus accessorial pay (tarp, stop, detention, border crossing, safety bonuses) and mileage pay. Requires valid Class A CDL, 21+, 4+ months driving experience, clean driving record, background check, drug test, and Clearinghouse compliance. Must be physically able to tarp loads (approx. 90 pounds) during orientation. Downtime and route types: Regional and occasional OTR with flatbed equipment. The role emphasizes safety, home time, and competitive compensation within System Transport’s flatbed fleet.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid Class A CDL
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- 4+ months of driving experience required
- A safe driving record on the road
- No more than 6 jobs in the last 3 years
- Prefer 1-year truck driving experience, but not necessary
- A Background Check is required
- A Clean Drug Test is required
- A Clean Clearinghouse result is required
- For all flatbed driver opportunities, the driver must be physically able to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice
- System Transport will test this during orientation, and flatbed drivers tarp about 70% of our loads
