Job Summary
Flatbed CDL-A driver for regional routes with System Transport. Drive flatbed equipment delivering glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals. Competitive pay, transition/orientation pay, and comprehensive benefits. Must meet standard hiring requirements and be able to tarp loads; home time includes weekends off with a 34-hour reset. Opportunities include per-mile pay, accessorial pay (tarps, stop, detention, border crossing), and paid orientation. Driver type: Experienced CDL-A; equipment: flatbed; route type: regional; terminal: Kansas City, MO; Division 290; prior experience preferred but not required for recent CDL-A graduates; safe driving and background checks required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL-A
- 21+ years old
- 4+ months of driving experience
- Safe driving record
- No more than 6 jobs in last 3 years
- Background check
- Clean drug test
- Clean Clearinghouse result
- Physically able to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice (16)
- Ability to tarps loads (70% of loads) during orientation/duties
