Job Summary
Flatbed CDL Driver on Regional Route transporting glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals. Flatbed equipment with pay and benefits, home time with 34-hour reset, orientation/transition pay, and extensive pay/bonus structure. Must hold a valid CDL-A, be 21+, have 4+ months driving experience, maintain a clean driving record, background check and drug test, and meet Clearinghouse requirements. Tarp handling (90-pound tarps) is part of duties; physical ability to tarp loads during orientation. System Transport emphasizes safety, equipment maintenance, and equal opportunity employment.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid Class A CDL
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- 4+ months of driving experience required
- A safe driving record on the road
- No more than 6 jobs in the last 3 years
- A Background Check is required
- A Clean Drug Test is required
- A Clean Clearinghouse result is required
- For all flatbed driver opportunities, the driver must be physically able to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice
- System Transport will test this during orientation, and flatbed drivers tarp about 70% of our loads
