Job Summary
Flatbed CDL-A regional driver opportunity with System Transport. Drive flatbed equipment on regional routes in the western US, hauling glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals. Competitive pay: annual pay range roughly $47,424–$102,993 plus accessorials; weekly pay and transition/orientation pay listed. Home time includes weekends off for a 34-hour reset; multiple pay components such as tarp pay, detention pay, border crossing pay, safety bonuses, and per-mile rates. Requires 4+ months of driving experience, valid Class A CDL, clean driving record, background check, drug test, and Clearinghouse verification; TARPs handling to load/unload 90 pounds twice during orientation. EOE. Locations include Hoffman Estates, IL and Kansas City, MO with in-person work expectations; home time varies by division.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid Class A CDL
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- 4+ months of driving experience
- A safe driving record on the road
- No more than 6 jobs in the last 3 years
- A Background Check is required
- A Clean Drug Test is required
- A Clean Clearinghouse result is required
- Must be physically able to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice (tarp ~70% of loads)
