Job Summary
CDL-A flatbed truck driver for regional routes. Responsibilities include transporting glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals on flatbed equipment; ensure safety and compliance; tarp and secure loads; maintain safe driving record; participate in orientation and transition pay programs. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401(k) and PTO; home time is off most weekends with a 34-hour reset; compensation includes weekly and annual pay with various accessorial pays. Experience requirements: valid Class A CDL, 21+, 4+ months driving, clean record, background check and drug test, and Clearinghouse clearance; orientation tarp-testing included.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- 21 years of age or older
- 4+ months of driving experience
- Safe driving record
- No more than 6 jobs in the last 3 years
- Background Check required
- Clean Drug Test required
- Clean Clearinghouse result required
- Must be physically able to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice (as tested during orientation)
- Ability to tarp about 70% of loads
