Job Summary
CDL-A flatbed truck driver on a regional route with System Transport. Responsible for transporting glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals on flatbed equipment. Driver type: Experienced CDL-A; equipment: Flatbed; route type: Regional. Compensation includes weekly pay, annual pay, and various accessorial pays (tarppay, stop pay, detention pay, border crossing pay, safety bonuses, tarp pay). Transition package with orientation pay and other benefits. Home time is off most weekends for a 34-hour reset. Must have a valid Class A CDL, be 21+, have 4+ months driving experience, pass background and drug tests, and meet Clearinghouse requirements; physically able to tarp loads as part of duties. Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid Class A CDL
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- 4+ months of driving experience required
- A safe driving record on the road
- No more than 6 jobs in the last 3 years
- Background Check is required
- A Clean Drug Test is required
- A Clean Clearinghouse result is required
- For all flatbed driver opportunities, the driver must be physically able to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice. System Transport will test this during orientation, and flatbed drivers tarp about 70% of our loads.
