Job Summary
CDL-A flatbed truck driver for regional routes with System Transport. Responsible for transporting glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals on flatbed equipment. Offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and a transition/orientation pay package. Home time includes weekends off for a 34-hour reset; routes vary by division. Applicants must meet standard hiring requirements (valid CDL-A, 21+, safe driving record, background check, drug test, Clearinghouse). Experience preferred but not strictly required; 4+ months recommended. Flatbed tarping responsibilities and pay structure include tarp pay, detention pay, border crossing pay, safety bonuses, and other accessorial pay. Equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid Class A CDL
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- 4+ months of driving experience
- A safe driving record on the road
- No more than 6 jobs in the last 3 years
- Background Check required
- Clean Drug Test required
- Clean Clearinghouse result required
- Physically able to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice (tarping ~70% of loads)
