Job Summary
Regional flatbed CDL-A driver role focusing on transporting building materials and specialty metals across the western region. Responsibilities include operating flatbed equipment, securing and tarp-packing loads, performing pre/post trips, complying with safety and CDL regulations, and utilizing pay/benefit programs. The role includes orientation and transition pay, weekly/annual pay structures, and comprehensive benefits. Experience with tarps, lifting heavy tarps (90 pounds), and meeting background/drug/testing requirements are required. Home time is generally weekends with a 34-hour restart; routes are regional with potential OT hours.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- 4+ months of driving experience required
- Safe driving record on the road
- No more than 6 jobs in the last 3 years
- Background Check is required
- Clean Drug Test is required
- Clean Clearinghouse result is required
- Physically able to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice (will be tested during orientation)
- Ability to tarp loads (approximately 70% of loads)
