Job Summary
Experienced CDL-A flatbed truck driver needed for a regional route in the western U.S. Transport a variety of materials including glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals. Competitive pay with weekly and annual pay, plus accessorial pay (tarp, stop, detention, border crossing, safety bonuses) and a comprehensive benefits package. Home time includes weekends off for a 34-hour reset; orientation and transition pay provided. Equipment is flatbed; tarp-loading capability required (up to 90 pounds onto a 5-foot high platform). Requires a safe driving record, background check, drug test, and Clearinghouse clearance. Prior flatbed experience preferred but not required; multiple route options and supportive driver-focused culture. Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid Class A CDL
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- 4+ months of driving experience
- A safe driving record on the road
- No more than 6 jobs in the last 3 years
- Background Check is required
- A Clean Drug Test is required
- A Clean Clearinghouse result is required
- For all flatbed driver opportunities, the driver must be physically able to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice. System Transport will test this during orientation, and flatbed drivers tarp about 70% of our loads.
