Job Summary
Flatbed CDL Driver on Regional Route with System Transport. Responsibilities include driving CDL-A flatbed trucks in the western region, transporting glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals. Maintain safety and compliance while tarp-ing loads and securing cargo; participate in orientation and transition pay programs; enjoy home time with weekends off for a 34-hour reset on Division 290 routes. Requirements: valid CDL-A, 21+, 4+ months driving experience, clean driving record, background check, drug test, and Clearinghouse compliance; ability to lift 90 pounds for tarp management; remote-friendly pay structures exist but role is on-site for specified routes. Location of operations includes Kansas City, MO and Newton, IA with standard home-time expectations and regional overtime opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- 21 years of age or older
- 4+ months of driving experience
- Safe driving record
- No more than 6 jobs in last 3 years
- Background check required
- Clean drug test required
- Clean Clearinghouse record
- Must be physically able to lift 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice (tarping ~70% of loads)
- Ability to pass orientation pay period requirements
