Job Summary
CDL-A flatbed driver needed for regional routes. Driver will transport heavy materials (glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals) with a focus on safety and efficiency. Competitive pay packages include weekly and annual earnings, various accessorial pays (tarp/stop/detention/border crossing/safety bonuses), and mileage-based rates ($0.57-$0.71 per mile). Transition and orientation pay are provided, along with comprehensive benefits (health, dental, vision, 401(k) with matching, life insurance, PTO accrual, EAP). Home time is off most weekends for a 34-hour reset; opportunity available through Division 290 with multiple route options. System Transport emphasizes safety, modern well-maintained equipment, and support through a Driver Portal. Eligible applicants include recent CDL-A graduates and experienced CDL-A flatbed drivers; equipment type is Flatbed and route type is Regional, with terminal in Kansas City, MO, and a separate location in Carnot-Moon, PA.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- 21 years of age or older
- 4+ months of driving experience
- Safe driving record
- No more than 6 jobs in the last 3 years
- Background Check required
- Clean Drug Test required
- Clean Clearinghouse result required
- Physically able to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice (tested during orientation)
