Job Summary
CDL-A flatbed truck driver needed for regional and OTR routes with System Transport. Responsibilities include transporting glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals using flatbed equipment. Competitive weekly and annual pay packages, transition/orientation pay, comprehensive benefits (health, dental, vision, HSAs, 401(k) with matching, life insurance, EAP), PTO accrual, and various per-load and accessorial pays (tarps, stop, detention, border crossing, and over-dimensional pay). Home time typically off most weekends with a 34-hour reset; distant home-time varies by division. Requires safe driving history, background check, drug screening, Clearinghouse check, and physical ability to tarp loads up to 90 pounds. Eligible for recent CDL-A graduates through May 31, 2026. Employer emphasizes safety, modern well-maintained equipment, and support via 24/7 driver portal.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- 21 years of age or older
- 4+ months of driving experience
- Safe driving record
- No more than 6 jobs in the last 3 years
- Background Check
- Clean Drug Test
- Clean Clearinghouse result
- Physically able to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice (tested during orientation)
- Flatbed tarp knowledge and handling pay expectations
- Ability to work with tarps and equipment on loads
