Job Summary
Operate flatbed trucks on a regional route within Division 290, hauling glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals. Eligible drivers join America Proud, Flatbed Strong with System Transport, with weekly and annual pay, transition/orientation pay, and comprehensive benefits. Responsibilities include tarping loads (90-pound tarps), adhering to safety protocols, maintaining a clean driving record, and meeting qualifications such as CDL-A, 21+, and 4+ months of experience. Home time is off most weekends with a 34-hour reset, and routes vary by division. Must pass background check and drug tests; Clearinghouse compliance required. Equipment is flatbed; drivers should be prepared for tarping duties and potential detours or pay differentials based on experience, routes, and attendance.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- 21 years of age or older
- 4+ months of driving experience
- Safe driving record
- No more than 6 jobs in the last 3 years
- Background Check
- Clean Drug Test
- Clean Clearinghouse result
- Physically able to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice during orientation/tarping about 70% of loads
