Job Summary
Flatbed CDL-A driver for regional routes with System Transport. Transport flatbed loads including glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals. Tarps loads (approximately 90-pound tarps onto a 5-foot platform) during orientation and routine operations. Home time off most weekends with a 34-hour reset; driver pay includes weekly and annual ranges plus accessorial pay (tarps, stop, detention, border crossing, safety, etc.). Benefits include health, dental, vision, HSA, 401(k) with matching, life insurance, PTO after tenure, transition/orientation pay, and more. Requirements: valid CDL-A, 21+, minimum 4+ months driving experience, clean DAC/Clearinghouse, background and drug test clear, and ability to tarp loads; Division 290, Kansas City, MO terminal; Region: Western U.S.; no pets; rider policy in place after 90 days. Location and routes imply in-person work with regional/oTR driving commitments.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- 21 years of age or older
- 4+ months of driving experience
- Safe driving record
- No more than 6 jobs in last 3 years
- Background check
- Clean drug test
- Clean Clearinghouse result
- Physically able to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice during orientation
