Job Summary
CDL-A flatbed driver needed for regional routes with System Transport. Drive flatbed equipment, transport glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals across the western region and beyond; regional and OTR opportunities available. Competitive pay including per-mile rates ($.57-$.71/mi), weekly and annual pay options, and a transition/orientation package. Benefits include health, dental, vision, HSA, 401(k) with matching, life insurance, EAP, PTO, and sick time accrual. Home time is off most weekends with a 34-hour reset; explicit safety requirements include tarping loads (approximately 70% of loads), lifting up to 90 pounds as part of tarping, and passing background checks and drug tests. Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid Class A CDL
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- 4+ months of driving experience
- A safe driving record on the road
- No more than 6 jobs in the last 3 years
- Background Check is required
- A Clean Drug Test is required
- A Clean Clearinghouse result is required
- For all flatbed driver opportunities, the driver must be physically able to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice. System Transport will test this during orientation, and flatbed drivers tarp about 70% of our loads.
