Job Summary
System Transport is hiring CDL-A flatbed drivers for regional routes. Responsibilities include transporting goods such as glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals on flatbed trailers. Eligible drivers receive competitive pay (weekly and annual ranges), a transition/orientation pay package, and comprehensive benefits (health, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, PTO). Home time is mostly weekends with a 34-hour reset; routes vary and orientation pays are provided. Must have a valid CDL-A, be at least 21, maintain a safe driving record, and pass background/drug tests and a Clearinghouse check. Flatbed-specific duties include tarping loads (approximately 70% of loads) and physical ability to lift tarps (90 pounds). Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- 21 years of age or older
- 4+ months of driving experience required
- A safe driving record on the road
- No more than 6 jobs in the last 3 years
- Background Check is required
- A Clean Drug Test is required
- A Clean Clearinghouse result is required
- Physically able to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice (testing during orientation)
