Job Summary
Experienced CDL-A flatbed driver needed for a regional US route with System Transport. You’ll transport materials such as glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals on flatbed trailers. The role features weekly and annual pay with a robust benefits package, orientation pay, and a 34-hour reset at home time. Home time is off most weekends; this division-specific opportunity includes tarping duties (including lifting a 90-pound tarp) and adherence to safety and compliance standards. Equipment is flatbed, with mileage-based pay and multiple accessorial pays (tarps, stop, detention, border crossing, safety bonuses) and 401(k) options. Required qualifications include a valid CDL-A, age 21+, 4+ months driving experience, clean driving record, and successful background check and drug test, plus Clearinghouse compliance. The role is based in Pittsburg, Kansas, with regional routes and potential for varied pay based on experience and length of service.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- 4+ months of driving experience
- Safe driving record
- No more than 6 jobs in the last 3 years
- Background Check required
- Clean Drug Test required
- Clean Clearinghouse result required
- Physically able to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice (tested during orientation)
- System Transport tarp experience on loads (70% tarped)
