Job Summary
Transport important goods and materials such as glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals on regional routes within Division 272. Secure loads by physically lifting a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice, as flatbed drivers tarp approximately 70% of all loads. Drive the newest flatbed trucks equipped with lane departure forward-collision warning systems, hard brake monitoring, and satellite communication devices. Maintain a safe driving record with no more than six jobs in the last three years while adhering to strict safety protocols and clearing all background and drug tests. Home for the weekend with varying home times based on division requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- 21 years of age or older
- 4+ months of driving experience
- A safe driving record on the road
- No more than 6 jobs in the last 3 years
- A Background Check
- A Clean Drug Test
- A Clean Clearinghouse result
- Physically able to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice
Desired Qualifications
- 1-year truck driving experience
