Job Summary
Flat Rate Technician in Marshfield, MA responsible for diagnosing and repairing automotive systems, including ASE-listed areas, ensuring service work orders are initiated and completed, and upholding VIP safety and quality standards. The role requires reading and interpreting technical instructions, explaining vehicle conditions to customers, achieving productive shop metrics, completing required trainings and ASE certifications, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. The position entails performing ASE-listed maintenance and repair tasks, becoming state vehicle inspector and BATS/TPMS certified as applicable, and working in a fast-paced service department to deliver high-quality automotive service.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License
- Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, journal and procedures, or governmental regulations
- Explain vehicle information to customers, present and respond to questions
