Job Summary
Flange Line Machine Operator needed to set up and operate the flange line machine per production specs, adjust cutting tools and feed rates, load materials, monitor feeding, cut/form/bevel flanges to precise dimensions, conduct first article inspections, and track production with RFsmart scanners. Responsibilities include maintaining machine performance, performing quality inspections for burrs and dimensional accuracy, identifying and reporting defects, performing routine cleaning and lubrication, basic troubleshooting, and maintaining accurate production records (quantities, scrap rates, downtime). Must follow safety protocols, wear PPE (gloves, safety glasses, steel toe boots), and meet physical demands (lifting up to 100 lbs with team assistance). The role is based in Grand Junction, CO, with full-time hours and potential overtime; comprehensive benefits available after 90 days and a compensation range of $18-$24 per hour depending on experience.
Required Qualifications
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- 1+ years experience in a metal fabrication environment with experience operating flange or related machinery
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications accurately
- Keen attention to detail and adherence to quality control standards
- Strong hand-eye coordination and proficiency with precision tools
- Basic math skills for measurements and machine adjustments
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment
- Ability to work independently while following established safety procedures
- Ability to walk, stand, use hands to handle tools, reach, kneel, stoop, crouch, and talk/hear in noisy environments
