Flagging Traffic Control Apprentice

Job Summary
Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic using signs, paddles, and flags while setting up, maintaining, and removing traffic control zones. Communicate clearly with drivers to ensure safe and orderly traffic flow, monitor work zones for hazards, and coordinate with team members using radios and hand signals. Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and alert crew members of unsafe conditions or non-compliant drivers. Assist with loading and unloading equipment and perform additional duties as assigned. This role requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working outdoors in active construction zones across Georgia and Florida. Flexible schedule includes nights, weekends, and overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and overtime
- Travel to various job sites required
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior traffic control experience is a plus
