Job Summary
Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic using signs, paddles, and flags while setting up, maintaining, and removing traffic control zones. Monitor work zones to identify hazards, communicate clearly with drivers, and coordinate with team members using radios and hand signals. Alert crew members of unsafe conditions and assist with loading and unloading equipment. Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and pass a pre-employment drug screen. Work outdoors in active construction zones with flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and overtime. Travel to various job sites with reliable transportation.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and overtime
- Travel to various job sites required
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior traffic control experience is a plus
