Job Summary
Direct and control traffic flow at construction sites in accordance with the Ontario Traffic Manual and company safety standards. Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices including signs, cones, barricades, and delineators while communicating clearly with motorists, pedestrians, cyclists, and site personnel. Monitor traffic conditions, adjust control methods as required, and coordinate with crew members regarding site access. Maintain clear hand signals and radio communication, inspect setups regularly, and respond professionally to public inquiries. Perform general labour duties when traffic volumes are low. Valid Traffic Control Person certification and one year of site experience preferred. Available Monday to Friday with potential for early mornings, evenings, night work, and occasional weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Traffic Control Person (TCP) / Flagger certification recognized in Ontario
- Strong understanding of Ontario Traffic Manual (OTM Book 7) guidelines
- Must be punctual, reliable, and safety-focused
- Ability to stand for long periods and work outdoors in all weather conditions
- CSA-approved safety boots and willingness to wear required PPE at all times
- Available to work Monday to Friday, with potential for early mornings, evenings, night work, and occasional weekends as required
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of traffic control or construction site experience preferred
