Job Summary
Lead the high school flag football team by supervising practices, enforcing KSHSAA rules, and maintaining accurate squad rosters and equipment inventory. Conduct pre-season parent meetings to outline team expectations and sportsmanship standards, while reporting scores to local media and arranging team awards. Manage assistant coaches, verify player medical clearances, and ensure compliance with injury policies and facility scheduling. Advise athletes on discipline and self-esteem development, attend games and junior varsity practices, and coordinate team photos and yearbook documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Sport specific participation
- Must be CPR/AED (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation/automated external defibrillator) certified or be willing to obtain and maintain certification
- Ability to speak clearly and audibly to various groups expressing ideas in a logical and forthright manner
- Ability to quickly analyze a situation and provide prompt advice
- Ability to respond to information requests in a courteous, timely and helpful manner
- Ability to work constructively and cooperatively with others
- Ability to travel as needed
