Job Summary
Plan rigorous, standards-based lesson plans that foster critical thinking and problem-solving while utilizing student-centered strategies to differentiate instruction for diverse learners, including those with disabilities and ELLs. Implement network curriculum resources to ensure alignment across grades and integrate literacy skills with explicit vocabulary development. Coplan and co-teach with Special Education and ELL teachers to support student differentiation, analyze assessment data to refine practices, and maintain strong classroom management to uphold a safe, caring environment. Grade student work promptly, communicate strengths and challenges with families via online portals, and actively participate in professional learning communities and grade-level activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- New York State Certification in Childhood Education 1-6
- New York State Certification in Early Childhood Education Birth-2
- Clearance for fingerprint and criminal background check
Desired Qualifications
- master's degree
- Prior satisfactory teaching experience
- Dual certification in English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) or Students with Disabilities
