Job Summary
Develop IEP goals, track student progress, and attend all IEP meetings while completing session notes on SESIS. Create academically rigorous, standards-based lesson plans that prepare students for Regents, AP, and collegiate coursework, utilizing student-centered strategies to differentiate instruction based on individual needs. Adapt common network curriculum resources to provide access for students with disabilities, and coplan and co-teach with general education teachers to support grade-level access. Analyze formative and summative assessment data to refine instructional practices and maintain strong classroom management. Grade student work promptly and communicate strengths and challenges with families through online portals and report cards. Participate in professional learning communities, grade-level activities, and school-wide functions while sharing best practices with colleagues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- New York State Certification in Students with Disabilities (birth-grade 2)
- New York State Certification in Students with Disabilities (grades 1-6)
- Clearance for fingerprint and criminal background check

- Prior satisfactory teaching experience
