Job Summary
Keep assigned line running efficiently by ensuring all machines operate at peak performance. Check tension on all yarns before sizing, inspect each machine and size daily, and perform preventative maintenance. Maintain machines by keeping them blown off and cleaned, while informing the supervisor of any maintenance problems. Strive to upgrade machines, reduce waste, and ensure quality across the area. Help train new mechanics and adhere to company policies regarding attendance, punctuality, and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Basic education in reading, writing & mathematics
- Above average mechanical ability
- Ability to use & understand the functions of the machine key pad
- Ability to recognize defects
- Understand proper safety procedures & personal protective equipment needed for working around machines and using air hoses
- Consistent daily attendance
