Job Summary
Operate fixed-wing aircraft safely and effectively in compliance with federal regulations, manufacturer recommendations, and Intermountain policies. Conduct preflight planning, maintain in-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, and ensure aircraft cleanliness and functionality. Coordinate decision-making with team members, communicate timely updates to specialists and patients, and assist medical crewmembers with patient loading, oxygen replenishment, and equipment movement. Lead satellite base functions, evaluate pilot performance, and mentor Second-in-Command Pilots within the Company Pilot Development Program. Monitor safety issues, facilitate resolution of safety-related problems, and participate in Safety Committee reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Commercial certificate with appropriate category and class ratings and instrument airplane
- Eligible to complete an ATP CTP course within one year of employment
- 2500 Hours in Airplanes
- ATP rating for Multi-Engine Land Airplanes
- 3000 Hours in Airplanes
- 1000 hours Multi-Engine
- 200 flight hours at hours in airplanes at night
- 300 flight hours instrument of which 100 in actual instrument
- 500 Pilot in Command flight hours in a multi-engine airplane
- 500 Pilot in Command flight hours in a turbine airplane
- Continuously employed for 2 years as a pilot at Intermountain Health

- EMS Experience
- King Air 90/200 PIC time: 100 hours
- PC-12 PIC time: 50 hours
- 200 hours turbo jet
