Job Summary
Operate fixed-wing aircraft safely and effectively in compliance with federal regulations, manufacturer recommendations, and Intermountain policies. Execute independent critical thinking for preflight planning and aircraft operations while maintaining in-depth knowledge of aviation regulations. Ensure aircraft cleanliness and functionality, fostering a safe environment for self, team members, and patients. Coordinate timely communication with team members, specialists, and patient/family members regarding decision-making processes. Evaluate transports per service criteria and assist medical crewmembers with patient loading, oxygen replenishment, and equipment handling. Lead satellite base functions, manage corrective actions for procedural deviations, and mentor Second-in-Command Pilots through the Company Pilot Development Program. Monitor safety issues, facilitate resolution of safety-related problems, and participate in Safety Committee reviews to implement best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold a Commercial certificate with appropriate category and class ratings and instrument airplane
- Must be eligible to complete an ATP CTP course within one year of employment
- 2500 Hours in Airplanes
- Must hold an ATP rating for Multi-Engine Land Airplanes
- 3000 Hours in Airplanes
- 1000 hours Multi-Engine
- 200 flight hours at hours in airplanes at night
- 300 flight hours instrument of which 100 in actual instrument
- 500 Pilot in Command flight hours in a multi-engine airplane
- 500 Pilot in Command flight hours in a turbine airplane
- Must hold a Commercial certificate with appropriate category and class ratings and instrument airplane
- Must have completed an ATP CTP course prior to aircraft training
- 2000 Hours in Airplanes
- Continuously employed for 2 years as a pilot at Intermountain Health
- 200 flight hours at hours in airplanes at night
- 300 flight hours instrument of which 100 in actual instrument
- Required to lift at least 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- EMS Experience
- King Air 90/200 PIC time: 100 hours
- PC-12 PIC time: 50 hours
- For turbo-jet operations: 200 hours turbo jet
