Job Summary
Operate fixed-wing aircraft safely and effectively in compliance with federal regulations, manufacturer recommendations, and Intermountain policies. Demonstrate independent critical thinking during preflight planning and aircraft operations while maintaining in-depth knowledge of aviation regulations and procedures. Ensure aircraft cleanliness and functionality, fostering a safe environment for self, team members, and patients. Coordinate decision-making processes with team members and communicate effectively with specialists and patient/family members. Depending on assignment, assist medical crewmembers with patient transport, oxygen replenishment, and equipment handling. Lead satellite base functions, evaluate pilot flight performance, or mentor Second-in-Command Pilots under the Company Pilot Development Program. Monitor safety issues, facilitate resolution of safety-related problems, and implement best practices within the base or area of assignment.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold a Commercial certificate with appropriate category and class ratings and instrument airplane
- Must be eligible to complete an ATP CTP course within one year of employment
- 2500 Hours in Airplanes
- Must hold an ATP rating for Multi-Engine Land Airplanes
- 3000 Hours in Airplanes
- 1000 hours Multi-Engine
- 200 flight hours at hours in airplanes at night
- 300 flight hours instrument of which 100 in actual instrument
- 500 Pilot in Command flight hours in a multi-engine airplane
- 500 Pilot in Command flight hours in a turbine airplane
- Must hold a Commercial certificate with appropriate category and class ratings and instrument airplane
- Must have completed an ATP CTP course prior to aircraft training
- 2000 Hours in Airplanes
- Continuously employed for 2 years as a pilot at Intermountain Health
- 200 flight hours at hours in airplanes at night
- 300 flight hours instrument of which 100 in actual instrument
- Required to lift at least 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- EMS Experience
- King Air 90/200 PIC time: 100 hours
- PC-12 PIC time: 50 hours
- For turbo-jet operations: 200 hours turbo jet
