Job Summary

Execute safe fixed-wing flight operations as Second in Command for AirMed International's medical transport missions in Birmingham, AL. Coordinate with dispatch to ensure aircraft readiness, disseminate operational information, and maintain compliance with FAR Part 135 and international guidelines. Manage 12-hour rotating day or night shifts on an 8-on/6-off schedule, including potential call-outs, de-icing, and ground maneuvering. Maintain professional conduct while traveling internationally and attend required training or check flights outside normal duty rotations.

Required Qualifications

  • Must reside in, or be willing to relocate to, Birmingham, AL.
  • Must hold, or be able to attain, CL-605 PIC Type Rating.
  • Hold, or be eligible to hold, an FAA ATP certificate.
  • 1500 Total Time Airplane Hours.
  • 250 hours Multi-Engine Airplane Hours.
  • 250 PIC Airplane hours.
  • Must hold of be able to attain a First-Class Medical Certificate.
  • Must be able to maintain First Class Privileges.
  • Must hold valid US Passport.
  • Must be eligible to hold Chinese "C" class visa.
  • Must be able to work night, day, and overnight shifts as assigned.
  • Must be able to work outside weather conditions.
  • May need to de-ice the plane, assist with towing the aircraft and maneuvering in and out of the hangar, prep the plane for flight.

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous medevac and/or cargo experience preferred.
