Job Summary
Test SIP voice connectivity to PABX and validate Session Border Controllers, PSX, and GSC units using Tektronix Iris and Niometrics probes. Execute manual and automation testing for Ribbon C20 and Sonus networks while assessing requirements and resolving defects. Requires 6–12 years of telecom industry experience, a relevant bachelor's degree, and 5+ years in fixed or core mobile network testing. Based in Sydney, this role supports the Fixed Voice Platform team with a focus on SIP protocols and signal generation.
Required Qualifications
- 6 to 12 years of Industry experience with Telecom background and knowledge
- Bachelors degree (or higher) in Engineering/ Computer Science / Information Technology / Telecommunications
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in fixed or core mobile network manual / automation testing as test engineer with Lab testing exposure
- Comprehensive understanding of internet protocols in data, voice and video suites
- Experience in design, deployment or testing of Sonus/Ribbon Session Border Controller (SBC), Sonus/Ribbon PSX and GSC, Ribbon C20
- Hands -on experience working on SIP Protocols and testing SIP voice connecting to PABX
- Hands -on experience working using Probes & Analysers and signal generators like - Tektronix Iris (probe solution) & Niometrics (probe solution)
- Ability to understand and assess requirements and processes, problem solving attitude
- Very good understanding of Software testing lifecycle, process and methodologies and experienced test engineer with innate ability to identify and resolve issues/defects
- Ability to transfer knowledge to team members and communicate well both orally and in writing
